Green by Design: Pioneer Polyclinic Earns BCA Green Mark Platinum

Pioneer Polyclinic in western Singapore has been awarded the BCA Green Mark Award (Platinum) by Singapore's Building and Construction Authority.
Pioneer Polyclinic, a seven-storey healthcare facility near Pioneer MRT station in western Singapore, has received the BCA Green Mark Award (Platinum) from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in 2016.
The facility houses clinics, a laboratory and x-ray room, pharmacies, support and staff areas, and healing terraces and outdoor activity spaces, with a barrier-free pedestrian approach connecting it to the surrounding urban fabric. As the first polyclinic under the newly formed National University Polyclinics group, part of the National University Health System, it organises care around teams of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals working with the same patients, and co-locates related services on each floor to shorten the distance patients need to travel between appointments.
Pioneer Polyclinic went on to receive further recognition for its design, winning the BCA Universal Design Mark Gold Award in 2017 and again in 2019.
