Woven in Brick: Brickland Weave Earns HDB Design Award Merit

Brickland Weave has received a Certificate of Merit in the To-Be-Built Projects (Housing) category at the HDB Design Award 2024, recognizing excellence in public housing design.

Located in the town of Tengah and bounded by Brickland Road and Tengah Boulevard, the development comprises 12 residential blocks of 11 to 17 storeys, totalling 1,641 units. The design takes its cue from the concept of "weaving," translating a brick-inspired motif — a nod to Tengah's historical ties to brick factories — into patterns and textures across the façade, carried through consistently to the preschool, playground, precinct pavilion and drop-off porch for a unified aesthetic. Units are planned to maximise natural light and ventilation, supported by amenities including a childcare centre, playgrounds, fitness corners and community gardens.
