Yoke Foong is a driven individual who adapts and embraces change with agility, a resourceful and street-smart architect with a can-do attitude.
Passionate about architecture, she maintains that it is a craft, and about designing with a soul. Beyond its physical form and appeal, a space should inspire and be guided by empathy for its users. She relates the experience to that of a family recipe that always has an interesting story behind. With her appreciation of the interaction between people and the space as well as 20 years of experience, she brings bring practical advice and insights into the projects she is on.
These values are reflected through the projects she has led including various terminals at Singapore Changi Airport, LTA MRT stations, healthcare establishments such as the Healing Campus at Alexandra Hospital, to also retail and entertainment hubs.
She is enthusiastic about helping budding architects and was one of the resident judges for Asian Young Designer Awards, an annual competition organised by Nippon Paint. A registered architect, a certified Universal Design Assessor, a Design for Safety Professional and a council member of the Singapore Institute of Architects, Yoke Foong holds a Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.
