Charlize Chai

Charlize first joined JGP in 2018, and today runs a studio comprising a team of designers on a range of projects in both Singapore and Malaysia.

Over her working experience, Charlize has been involved in a wide range of projects. Currently, she leads the studio on projects ranging from public, residential, commercial to hospitality. Charlize likes to learn from the completed projects as good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement.

While having passionate about design and architecture, Charlize believes a keen sense of aesthetics that marries form, function and buildability is one of the critical factor to deliver a good architecture. In her career path, Charlize emphasized on practicing as practice makes perfect.

Charlize is a registered architect in Singapore and Malaysia, and a corporate member of the Malaysia Institute of Architects (PAM). She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Universiti of Putra Malaysia and Master of Science (Project Management) from the National University of Singapore.

When not sketching, Charlize enjoys reading, painting and spending precious time with family.
