Built to Breathe: One Draycott Wins Sustainability Excellence Award

One Draycott's passive cooling and green-wall landscaping earned it the Sustainability Excellence Award at the EdgeProp Singapore Property Excellence Awards 2023.
One Draycott has won the Sustainability Excellence Award (Completed Residential – Central Region) at the EdgeProp Singapore Property Excellence Awards (TEPEA) 2023, recognising the development's environmental design measures.
The 18-storey, 64-unit tower on Draycott Park was built with precast components for bathrooms, staircases and refuse chutes, reducing on-site construction waste. Cross-ventilation was designed into the unit layouts to cut reliance on air-conditioning, while sensor-controlled lighting runs through the staircases and basement jet fans. Landscaping uses native Southeast Asian plant species, with vertical green walls of creeper plants running from the basement up to the entrance level, and harvested rainwater is used for irrigation.
The project was designed by JGP Architecture in partnership with London-based CarverHaggard.
